Dothan Bike Fest 2006 Dothan, AL March 24-25-26th, 2006 The Dothan bike fest has become a southern tradition, and is always one of the first and last rallies you can go to, they have a spring and fall party every year. What can I say? I've been to this rally every year since it started up & I still have a good time every time. This year they had some pretty good bands... HayWire, Mystery Tour & Straight UP as well as a very talented girl doing Patsy Cline. They kept the tunes comming all weekend like a good biker party should. For those of you that have never actually BEEN to the Dothan bike fest, it's located at the farm center right in the middle of town. So getting a hotel room close by is never a problem. And of course they have that giant heated building where they hold the biker games, bands and all the contests so you never have to worry about the weather when you go to this party. Friday had the vendors set up, some bands & the late night wet t shirt contest. Saturday the gates open early but things don't really kick off until early afternoon. Bike games, Tattoo contest, live bands and a bike show pretty well round it off. And of course they have the women's pudding wrestling contest right at sun down, with their traditional Miss Dothan contest late at night to wrap up the festivities. Sunday morning has the CMA church services You know, I've been going to the Dothan bike fest for so many years it get's harder & harder to find anything original to say. But bottom line is I DID go and had a good time. If your like me and your just jone'sin for the rally season to start & get out and ride your scooter somewhere, this party is a great excuse to get out of the house and have some fun early in the year. ---------------------- Campground Description : Located at the Dothan, AL farm center.
