Bama Bike Fest 2006 Forkland, AL March 17-18-19th, 2006 What a Blast ! The Bama bike fest this weekend was a great time and better than ever. About a thousand people or so showed up for the first real biker party of the year and this rally lives up to expectations. The gates open early Friday morning so you can roll in just about any old time. The actual festivities start around 6 pm or so when the sun goes down, and let me tell you these people know how to party! Friday night had a live band and a few contests, with everybody just chillin' and having a good old time. Saturday morning was the poker run for the early morning keeners, and bike games in the early afternoon. As usual, nudity is not only tolerated but actually encouraged with the infamous ''buy back'' rules. If at first you don't succeed, you can try again naked. Or at least topless. I do have to mention that for the first time since about 1977 I saw my first streaker go zipping by during the bike games. Some guy got butt-ass nekkid & ran accross the field! Hahahahaha... just goes to show what kind of rally it REALLY is. The women got free titty painting, the guys got free pictures and everybody was having a great time. After the rodeo games they had the bike show and a tattoo contest, followed by a little dinner break. Then the sun went down, the bands started crankin' out some tunes and the evening contests started off with a bang. Uhhhmm, lesseee... there was a bunch of drinking games, beer chugging games, body shot games and then the ladies chaps contest. Of course nobody was really looking at the chaps, but who cares? The chaps didn't really stay on long enough to make a difference anyways. After a while the weather started to look like it was about to start raining so they decided to have an early wet t shirt contest... cuz... well... you know... you can't have a wet t shirt contest in the rain! The girls might get wet! :) So the contest started off, it started to rain and everybody had a hellova time. Honestly I doubt that more than one guy out of 50 even noticed that it started raining! And then of course one of the best things about this rally was the nice dry biker bar right there. So after the wet t shirt contest got rained on, the band & people just moved inside the bar & kept right on partying. Now that's my kind of biker rally. Listen, this rally is a BLAST, and one of the most fun things you can go to on two wheels. If you've been you know what I'm talking about... If you've never been you really need to add this one to you ''to go'' list. I went, I had a blast.
