the Bama Bike Fest 2006 fall party, Forkland AL

Bama Bike Fest fall party Forkland, AL October 27-28-29th, 2006 It just gets better & better. Things started off pretty slow on thursday as the weather was really crappy & pouring down rain... but the skies cleared up on saturday and they had what I think was probably their largest crowd every, a couple of thousand people. Friday night was pretty calm as the rain had just let up and it was pretty cold, but Saturday was rockin' and business as usual. An early morning poker run, followed by bike games in the afternoon. As always the now famous ''buy back'' rules apply, so if you mess up during your turn at the games you can always try again if your willing to do it naked! A bike show later on in the day, along with a best painted titties contest. A live band cranking out some tunes followed by a short dinner break. And then the sun went down. Now usually the way it goes is they have a band, it plays a set, then they've got a contest organised. But for some reason everybody just kind of decided that they didn't really need the band, the real enternainement was the crazy contests! So as soon as the sun went down they just started banging them out one after another and making them up as things went along. So their was a Tattoo contest, a most private body piercing contest, a best painted titties contest, a wet t shirt contest, a ... well what the hell, some naked people on stage contest? I don't know exactly what was going on, but their was girls there and we voted for them, so somebody must have won something at some point, right? Did I mention it got pretty wild? After who knows how many different contests and a couple of hours of fun on the outdoor stage people just sort of decided that it was getting a little too chilly outside so the party just sort of moved itself into the bar. Judging from the stumbling blurry eyed people the wandering around the campground looking dazed the next morning I officially pronounce that everyone had a good time :) This party just keeps getting bigger and bigger every time I go, and I've always had a great time there. Or is it there? In any case this one's definately on my ''to do'' list again for next summer, their next one is the weekend of march 16th, 2007. Look for it, plan for it and go to it... you WILL have a good time! ---------------------- Campground Description : Located at the Acker's farm, just north of Forkland, AL on private property. Tons of grass camping space. Free showers on location. Full service biker bar on location. Porta potty toilets. Food, beer & liquor sold on location. Other vendors on location. --------------------- Entry : $20 per person for the entire weekend. armbands must be worn at all times. Rv's and hookups extra. Bikes, trucks & cars free.
