Faunsdale Fall 2005 Biker Rally Faunsdale, AL September 30th - October 02nd, 2005 Organised Chaos ! Faunsdale is a real grass roots biker party, run by a real old school biker who's been around for ever. Friday's at this rally are kind of relaxed with everybody just getting there & setting up their camps. After the sun went down the ''River City Bike Fest'' people had their very own band and late night wet t shirt contest out in the campgrounds and it got pretty wild late into the night (or is that early into the morning?) Saturday was a lot more structured, with a early'ish poker run and some very extensive biker games that lasted the better part of the afternoon. And as always the ''buy back'' rule applies where you can try again if you don't succeed at first... as long as your willing to do it topless! Always a good time. And of course they have their own special rules for the weenie bite... you can do it with your clothes on if you want, but they're going to slather that dog in some serious mustard. Don't like mustard? No problem, just pop your top off & they'll be happy to provde you a completely new, mustard free weenie. Hahahahha... makes the regular old weenie bite contest quite a bit more entertaining. They also had girls getting their titties painted throughout the afternoon, a bike show, and a tattoo contest. And after the sun went down a rockin' wet t shirt contest. Unlike most rallies they have their big contest quite early (around 9pm'ish or something), and then the party moves out into the campgrounds where you could find several enterprising individuals that have extensive campsites setup complete with lights, music & full screen video projectors... even a disco ball! Everything you need for a good time is all right there. And let's not forget another Faunsdale tradition... the midnight ''Breezy Ride''. You can wear boots, bandanas and nothing in between. Kinda like streaking, but on a motorcycle. It's an official event every year and they even have a pin you can only get by participating. Sunday morning has the CMA services, and the biker memorial. This rally kind of reminds me of the Abate Boogie in Indiana, but better. Half of the party is what they provide, the other half is the tailgate party that the biker's bring themselves out in the campgrounds. Either or, it's still a good time. I guess it just depends if you prefer your fun organised, or disorganised. All in all I would guess that about 3,000+ people or so showed up making this one of the better fall Faunsdale rallies I'v been too in the past few years. ---------------------- Campground Description : Large, grassy campgrounds with dirt roads. Tons of primitive camping, few shade trees. Pond available for swimming & cooling off. Showers on site. Porta potty toilets.
