Dothan Bike Fest 2005 Dothan, AL November 18-19-20th, 2005 It just keeps going & going & going... Another year, another Dothan bike fest. As usual it's the last biker party of the year, and a couple thousand people showed up for the last chance to squeeze in one more party weekend in before it's time to garage your bikes for the winter. Or to bust out your cold weather riding gear, depending on what kind of biker you are. Friday night is pretty easy going, the bands were pretty good and cranked up around 6pm or so. Geneva & Mudd Bros are both bands that I've seen a few times before and some of my personal favorites... and they had a new, all chick band called MT-TV. Can't go wrong with an all chick band, right? Throughout the day they had a FREE motorcycle stunt show, Reckless Rene's Wall of death. It was pretty damn cool, these guys are crazy! Not only would they ride around the walls with their bikes at a 90 degree angle to the ground, they would also snatch folded dollar bills from the audiences mouth's as they went whipping by at about 40mph or so! Damn... I don't think I could do that even on a good day. It was definatel one of those '' don't try this at home '' stunts. Midnight rolled around and it was time for the friday night wet t shirt contest. Of course it was pretty cold so that kind of curbed the enthusiasm a little, but they still found a girl to get up on stage & put on a little show. On Saturday the bike games, tattoo contest, motorcycle show and more free wall of death stunt shows going on throughout the afternoon. The girl's pudding wrestling contest around dinner time followed by the bands at starting around 6pm'ish and of course their late night Miss Dothan contest. The Bike fest has been going on for a few years now, and they've got their schedule down pat. After all if it ain't broke, why fix it? ---------------------- Campground Description : Located at the Dothan farm center. Asphalt roads, grass camping space.
