FATBOB's biker rally review
LITTLE STURGIS, KY 2003
July 17-20th, 2003 Little Sturgis Rally Sturgis, KY Mardi Gras for bikers... It's been a couple of years since I went to little sturgis, the famous kentucky rally so I decided to head back & check it out again. Sure was a big party, about 25,000+ people showed up this year in the largest assortement of motorized vehicules you've ever seen. Trucks, cars, humvees, tractor trailer cab's, motorhomes, campers, trikes, bikes, scooters, vintage cars... if it rolled on wheels somebody probably drove it to this rally. Things may have all started out as a biker rally, but it's sure grown into a huge lets go campout & party hard weekend. They had some kickin' live bands, a pretty good biker rodeo, dirt dragstrip racing and a few more organized events... which everybody proceeded to ignore. Less than 10% of the people at this rally actually went to see the official entertainment... which of course begs the question ''what was the other 90% doing?'' They was in the campground checkin' out all the naked biker chicks! Damn, it was like mardi gras for bikers. Naked chicks to the left, naked chicks to the righ, naked chicks all over the place. Beads flying through the air like ice cubes in a hail storm. I even seen a couple of naked chicks hanging from a tree ! Old, young, fat, skinny, short, tall and anything & everything in between. Walking, riding, driving, topless, naked, flashing for beads, flashing for fun... you name it, I seen it this weekend. The main entertainement at THIS rally was to drive around and around the campground, flashing for beads or just plain ol' showing off what you got. What a weekend! I'm not sure that it still qualifies as a real biker rally, but damn I had a good time. Entry : $30 Bike Drags Live Bands Pudding Wrestling contest Food & Ice Vendors B.Y.O.B. On site camping
