Dothan Bikefest 2003 Fall Rally Dothan, Alabama Nov. 14-16th 2003 Better than ever I like rallies like the Dothan bikefest. It's all about camping out and having a good time with a bunch of other real bikers... ya know, the way it's supposed to be. No pizza hut vendors, not sponsored by pepsi cola or brought to you by Camel cigarettes, just a good 'ol time out for the weekend with the boys. The turnout was good this year, better than I've ever seen it before. A few thousand people showed up and pretty well packed the grounds out, this rally is definately growing. I remember when I used to go and see maybe a 800 people tops. My my, how things have changed. A couple of live bands played on Friday & Saturday nights, including CottonMouth which is fast becoming one of my personal favorites. They sure know how to rock with a bunch of drunken bikers. :) As for entertainment, a wet t-shirt contest on Friday night, a pudding wrestling contest and Miss Dothan Bikefest contest on Saturday night were the main events of the weekend (ya'll know I'm all about the naked biker chicks ! ). On Saturday they had a biker rodeo and of course the Tatoo contest... Check out the pictures, there's this one guy named ''Mr. Tatoo'' and every year I'm amazed that anybody else even bothers to enter the contest against him. Oooops, did I forget to mention the bike show? Check it out in the free pictures, the M&M bike was so well done up I just had to make it a special little feature, and I seen a vintage Indian (unrestored) that just made my heart weep... or maybe it's pangs of jealousy. I dunno. Either way, I liked it. Definately on my ''to do'' list again next year.
