2012 BEECH BAND RALLY AND RACES
AMRA motorcycle drag racing and campground party.
Beech bend has been hosting the spring AMRA motorcycle races at their drag strip for years now, with three shows a year.
The place itself is very nice. Great drag strip with tons of bleachers to watch the bikes scream down the track, vendors set up in the staging area and a very slick paved campgrounds at the end of it all with shower houses, toilets, a small stage and RV hookups.
Usually the Beech Bend rally and races are hosted in March every year, but this season's spring rally was pushed back a month. The weather was great, the racing motorcycles tore up the strip, the Jasmine Cain band rocked out both Friday and Saturday nights and there was a somewhat subdued party in the campgrounds late into the night and a scheduled contest that never occured.
The races were cool but the party was rather on the quiet side and nothing as wild and crazy as the summer and fall shows. It wasn't a bad show... I was hoping the campgrounds would crazy up late at night and add a little bazoooom to the show but it just never really happened.

ENTRY FEES : $40 entry fee, Sunday only $20. Support vehicle $20. No 4 wheelers, ATV's, Gators or Dirt bikes. Adults only (I'm not sure, but I would not recommend the campgrounds for children).

OTHER ENTERTAINMENT : Motorcycle show
CONTESTS : None, although they had stage contests advertised.
RALLY GROUNDS : Located at the Beech Bend drag strip in Bowling Green, KY. Tons of shaded camping areas, all paved roads. RV Hookups available, free hot showers. Small stage area in the campgrounds, vendors lined up in the drag strip parking lot.
