The last time I was this bored was watching golf on TV. Beech Bend has three different shows every year so I decided to go check it out last spring... it was less than impressive then, and even worse now. Saturday was a beautifull sunny day, the AMRA sanctioned drag strip was doing it's thing and about 300 campers showed up to enjoy the show. I can't say anything nice about this weekend, so why bother even trying. In all the years and the hundreds upon hundreds of shows I've been too I've only left four of them early, and this was one of them. There wasn't anyone there, the racers outnumbered the spectators and they only had a half dozen vendors. Some karoke on Friday night. Oh, and I bike show with about 5 bikes. I left. I didn't like it at all. I thought it was a complete waste of time, money and camera batteries. I would hesitate to recomend this show to even the most rabid of top fuel racing enthusiasts. Too bad, it used to be a pretty good time. Their summer and fall races may be much better, feel free to try it out. Personally I'll be going somewhere else. Bob rates this party a 1/10!
