Road Rash magazine's yearly blowout party Road Rash magazine is a biker publication based in Chattanooga, and the Road Rash Biker Bash is their yearly party. A pretty good show, great location. Lots of open spaces for either tent camping or RV's. No hookups though, so bring your own generator if you're RV'ing it. Very nice stage, lots of vendors and a little creek that flows right by the entire property (swim in it if you want). And a decent sized mud pit, although they never did get around to having a mud wrestling contest. Free hot showers on location, and all this located about four minute drive right off the main interstate. And of course it's private property. Although they forgot to mention it in all their advertising this is an adults only rally, must be 21 or better to enter. And yes you can bring your golf carts and four wheelers, they let you drive them around the place as long as you don't get too stupid with it. Or run into a porta potty. They had some good bands. Lot's of bands. More than I can count on my fingers after a couple of beers, for some reason I kept counting them and coming up with a different number every time. Headlining on Saturday was Opposite Box, winners of the the Battle Creek battle of bands that took place locally a couple/three months ago. The party itself was a little strange, the RV people just holed up in their campers for the weekend (ok, it was hotter than hell I'll give them that) and never seemed to make it to the stage. People just mulled around and watched the bands, and wandered off through the campgrounds. But the ones that did come down to the main stage were all about the party so I guess it worked out ok. You could tell that everyone there was ready to cut loose, when they finally had the Saturday night wet tee shirt contest it got as wild anything I've ever seen and that's saying something. The contest lasted for well over 90 minutes! Saturday night world famous Playboy Playmate AJ Alexander showed up for some calendar/poster signing... and discovered that she loves biker parties. This hottie had a few drinks, threw down the pen, said the hell with it and partied her ass off! She's cool. And also one of the very first every famous hot babes I've met that parties like real people, right there in the middle of it all with everyone else instead of sitting in the corner all night long surrounded by security guards. You have to hand it to her, AJ's cool babe and deserves credit... and can party right along with the best of us. I think they had too many bands playing over the weekend, each band would play for an hour or so and then take 30 minutes to unload off the stage and set up the next band. If it were my show I'd have had fewer bands, and had a little contest between each one while the guys were setting up their gear on stage. But all in all it was a pretty good time and worth the trip, I certainly plan on hitting it up again next year. After you've checked out all the party pictures here be sure and visit Road Rash Magazine's web site, Tom ''the bomb'' is a cool guy and Road Rash Mag has been on my reading list for years. Bob rates this party a 7/10! ![]() ![]() ![]()
