DATES : November 5-8th, 2009 AGE RESTRICTION : Adults only. 18 or better to enter, except Sunday which is open to all ages. LOCATION : Newport, TN ENTRY FEES : $35 per person, RV's welcome. CAMPGROUNDS : The entire rally stretches along the drag strip with RV spots and electrical hookups available. Tent camping spots (some shaded) are available. Porta potty toilets, showers, stage and vendor area and a drive through biker bar at the top of the hill. Not bad, especially for a first year show. This is Rally at the Strip's first year, second show. Their first rally was in June this year and I couldn't make it because I was already booked up with another event, but as you can see I did manage to make their fall show. The place is basically a long drag strip, with a stage area and vendors on one side of the track and RV camping spots down the other... with a drive through biker bar at the very end. It reminds me a lot of the Emerald Coast bike fest at Holt, FL. Without the wet t shirt contest on Saturday night. Several different bands playing this weekend ''battle of the bands'' style, with the winners opening up for GENEVA who was out there filming their new reality show Rock-N-Ride currently airing on some local Fox stations. The drags down the strip are NOT pro or top fuel. Just ride your scooter down the track, pass a quick safety inspection and rip away. Lots of different classes so you don't end up with a Sportster running against a Hyabusa... unless you want to. They're pretty laid back with the strip rules, they obviously are simply running the track so we can have fun. If you've ever wondered what your bike can really do this place is the spot to find out. They also had a few other things going on like some biker rodeo games, the Dixie Dancers, the Rawhide girls and so on... but it's cold up in them there hills in November so the party sort of peter'ed out not too long after the sun went down. I heard that this place was rockin' in June, and the people partied all night long up at the bar at the end of the strip. It just didn't happen this fall. So even though it was 18 or better to get in the show I didn't see any kind of wildness this weekend... just a bunch of people having a good time. This rally is hard to call, I've seen lot's of wild photos from the bar at their June rally earlier this year but came back ''boobieless'' at the end of the fall show. So now you have it, you'll just have to make up your own mind. Bob rates this a 5/10
