      Wow. Rain rain go away...

Hogfest of TN has been going for three years now, with a three shows each year.

For those of you that have never been it's on about 70 acres of private property with free hot showers, porta potties toilets and both shaded camping spots and a large flat field for RV and camper parking. They also have free firewood, which is awefull nice for them cold late fall rallies.

Six different bands lined up and a bunch of contests, but you know how it goes when it's pouring rain with a high of 50 degrees in the daytime. The people that showed up just kind of hung out in the campground around the fires and it ended up being a rather quiet weekend, through no fault of the rally organizers.

I guess there really isn't much you can do about the weather, it's kind of like being a farmer where you pick your dates and just hope everything works out ok. Despite the completely atrocious conditions over the weekend they did get a few hundred hardcore rally goers out there, which says something for the show.

I've heard that this party has gotten a lot better over the last couple of years, the next HogFest is Memorial day weekend next summer. I'd love to get a chance to check this one out again when the weather is a little better.

      Bob rates this a 5/10
