Damn. Rain rain go away! For those of you that have never been there it's a pretty good location, lot's of shaded areas for primitive camping. Free hot showers, the Scooters and Hooters biker bar located right there at the entrance to the rally grounds. And they have NO support vehicule fees! Rain, rain, rain, it rained pretty well all weekend long. I hate it when a great party is deluged, but sometimes shit happens. They usually have some really good biker rodeo games both Friday and Saturday afternoons but this fall they had run the games around the incessant rain showers. For the people that did show up it was a great little party though. For example the girls shaving cream wrestling got rained out... so later on that night when the weather cleared up for a couple of hours they got some girls on stage and just let them lather each other up and put on a show for the crowd. Sometimes the weather sucks and you just have to do the best you can. Which as it turned out was still a lot of fun. They managed to pull off lots of wild contests with suprisingly good participation. And unlike most shows, the June Bug is co-ed. So they'll have a women's wet t shirt contest followed by a men's hot chaps contest and so on. Lot's of bands out there this weekend, culminating with Jasmine Cain. She's a real trooper, right before her show Saturday night the bottom fell out and the rain came down so hard you could barely see the person next to you... and she still got out on stage and slammed out a great show to some of the hardest partying people I've ever met. Both June Bug Boogie shows are a great party, and despite they crappy weather everyone that showed up still had a good time. If you like your parties wild you need to add this one to your list. Bob rates this party a perfect 7/10! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
