Good little old school grass roots party. Higgston Hawg fest reminds me of the old days when everyone just used to go campout out somewhere & have a party. These guys have a great place for a rally. A nice little stage, lots of parking for RV's, tent camping & day tripper parking. A little pond you can swim in and some shady areas with some large mature trees. Really good layout, only about 20 miles or so off a major interstate. This rally used to be called the Deadriver Rally, in Lyons GA but they had to relocate for some reason or another. Wasn't a bad party, just needed a little more attendance to really make it. They did have a couple of hundred of the right kind of people show up, and it turned out to be pretty good. Psyk Nine cranked out some live tunes on Saturday night, with some biker games both during the day and after dark. A women's pudding wrestling contest, an ass shaking contest, a dozen or two vendors, and the entire show raises money to help out battered women. It wasn't a huge weekend rally, but it was a nice little weekend escape. You have to remember that there's a big difference between them huge shows with a $50,000 entertainment budget and your local ''let's camp out and have a good time'' type of biker party. If you like them old school smaller parties where you make a bunch of friends and know everybody by the time you roll out on Sunday, and can still have a good time and get a little wild this show is for you.
