2008 angel city october - better than Daytona BiketoberfestBob rates this rally a 7/10 beer cans 
If you plan on heading down to Daytona for either bike week or biketoberfest you should stop in at Angel City. First time there for me, very cool rally site. All built up like an old fashioned western town, complete with brand new covered stage, saloons and even a jail. Tons of vendors selling everything from hamburgers to custom choppers and some really good bands kept this party going despite an entire weekend of non stop drizzling rain. This one's NOT a wild party. If your looking for wall to wall naked drunk biker chicks you should go read about some of the other rallies I'v been to. Angel City has a little bit of everything going on, with some exceptionally good bands, a wet t shirt contest, the anaconda (worlds longest motorcycle), a couple of tattoo artists and so on... you get the idea. It's kind of like taking everything that happens at Daytona bike week and distilling it all down to one single location, without the traffic congestion and all the cops. Angel City happens twice a year, once in March (the week before Daytona bike week) and once in October (the week before Daytona biketoberfest). If you can leave for Daytona a week early it's definitely worth the stop over. And it's located in Unidella, GA which is right off the main north/south Interstate, just about a normal biker's day ride (300 miles or so) north of that big florida rally that I'm tired of mentioning. Ride down & check them out sometime, it's a really cool setup and a pretty good time. | |
