2009 Easy Rider V TWin bike show in Louisville, KY The grandaddy of all bike shows and the one I've been looking forward to. There really aren't any real biker rallies or parties going on this time of year, but don't worry you can still get your chrome fix by hitting one of the bike shows. And the oldest and largest of them all is the Easy Rider V Twin tour. It's was a pretty good show despite the giant ice storm that left half the state without electricity. I guess it didn't really matter as the roads had all cleared up, and both the convention center and the surrounding hotels all still had power. I've now seen some of the coolest bikes of 2009, make sure and check out the motorcycle pictures. The ''lord of the rings'' bike has one of the most elaborate paint jobs I've ever seen on two wheels, the Jim Beam trike is nothing short of a true work of art... and the motorcycles? They all just made me feel like my personal scooter is a piece of junk. Ya, the were that good. Too bad some of the scheduled builders weren't able to make the show, maybe I can catch them next week at the Easy Rider Knoxville show. Live band was Jasmine Cain, first doing an early acoustic set then swapping out for two hard slammin', hair flying shows later on during the day. Make sure and catch them live if you ever get half a chance, they're great. Also showing up were the perfect angels, doing their dance routines on & off during the day wearing different outfits. This is a family type show, somewhere you can drive to during them frosty winter months and still think good thoughts about motorcycles. With some fantastic bikes it's certainly worth the trip, especially if you're like me and having motorcycle withdrawls this time of year. If you missed this show the next stop for the Easy Rider V Twin tour is in Knoxville, TN next saturday (february 7th, 2009). Stop and check it out, it's worth it. |
