2009 World of Wheels show, Atlanta Georgia

Now in it's 43rd year, the World of Wheels shows combines the ''All American Motorcycle Show'' and ''Auto Rama'' into one big event. Currently touring the country with 10 different stops nationwide.

It's a family event with guest appearances from Spongebob Squarepants, Dora the Explorer, the original car from Knight Rider and a couple of kids from the Disney Chanel shows.

Well... what the hell. There ain't any wild parties going on this time of year so why not go shoot some cool motorcycles?

They did have a bike builder or two and the Veteran Tribute Bike was worth the trip in itself, but overall it's pretty well much a car and hot rod show. If I was into cars this write up would be much different, but being a scooter man myself I was... well... hoping for more motorcycles.

The Hooter girls were cute, the roller derby girls looked like they could kick my ass, the live band was rockabilly and not too bad and I finally met them guys that build those James Bond looking trikes out of Ford Focus'es. And let's not forget that old dude who was giving live demonstrations on the proper way to turn corners on your motorcycle.

Like I said, if I was into hot rods and cars this entire artcle would be very different. I could tell you all about the hot rod with a chromed underside, the $500,000 show car, the '51 Ford Victoria and the '72 Ford SS... but I won't :)

I kind of had a good time at the show simply because it was so big with so much diversity. Did I mention I was hoping for more bikes? Oh well. Better luck next week I hope. Enjoy the pictures
